It all started with a girl who realized she deserved better and went for it.
At the age of 25, just after coming from France to Russia, our founder Maite Ortega was diagnosed with a skin problem. She describes this moment as a “wake-up call” and began to think seriously about how she could better maintain her health in every way possible.
“That’s when I discovered an unexpected truth – my beauty products were full of toxins! I couldn’t believe there weren’t stricter rules protecting our health,” says Maite.
With this newfound awareness, Maite tried to find skincare products that would give her the results she wanted, without the risk of exposure to toxins. Her search was unsuccessful. So, she boldly took matters into her own hands and decided to challenge the existing skincare order.
Under the guidance of leading anti-aging scientists from the Institute of Cosmetology in Moscow, eco-chemists and sustainability pioneers, she founded Malek group. Since then, Maite has driven an unstoppable shift in the skincare industry, especially after clinical trials began proving that her safe and eco-friendly skincare could outperform leading traditional brands.
“But for me, the greatest reward is hearing from customers who have never felt better about their skin,” says Maite. “The incredible before and after transformations that so many people have shared with me are undeniable proof that it is possible to create best-in-class, effective skincare without any toxins.”
